This is a revalidation course for holders of any pool lifeguard award (not just Irish Water Safety awards).

Applicants must be strong swimmers, able to swim continuously at least 20 lengths of a 25m pool.

Current awards must be still within date, or out of date less than one year on the date of the course to be elligble for revalidation.

*Holders of non-IWS pool lifeguard awards will need to pay an extra €20 to cover purchase of an IWS National Pool Lifeguard Manual

Course Content

This course consists of revision and reassesment of the skills taught on the IWS pool lifeguard course. Holders of other awards can also do this course to convert / revalidate their awards to the IWS National Pool Lifeguard Award. Qualifications must be out of date less than one year to be eligible for revalidation.
